Police arrest three in connection with robbery and murder of 2 MoMo vendors
The Ashanti Regional Police Command has arrested three suspects linked to the the robbery and murder of two mobile money vendors in the Ashanti Region.
Patricia Nimako was gruesomely shot to death alongside her money at Krofrom, a suburb of Kumasi, on February 13, 2025, white the second victim, Gideon Owusu Sarpong, alias ” Junior” was alsibrobbed and murdered at his residence in Kwadaso.
Briefing the media, the Ashanti Regional Police Commander, DCOP Emmanuel Teye-Cudjoe, said the suspects were arrested at a separate hideouts.
Suspects Charles Kwane Danso, 23, also known as “Kwame Charles ” or “Miami”, Philip Ford journey, 29 and Samuel Addae Mensah, 42 were arrested at Pankrono and Atimatim on March 21 respectively.
The suspects are currently in Police custody and will soon br processed for court to face justice.
Meanwhile, efforts are underway to locate the fourth suspect whose name wad given as Martin Amoah, alias Augustine Amoah, alias “Baba Macho”.
According to the police he is believed to be hiding in Kumasi, Dunkwa-on- Offin in the Central Region or in Accra.
The Police Command is also appealing to the public to assist in the search of Martin Amoah.
DCOP Emmanuel Teye-Cudjoe, pledged the Command’s commitment in ensuring justice is served and urged the general public to remain vigilant in helping them bring all responsible individuals to justice.
