Robber guns down Okada Rider
An Okada rider has been shot dead by an armed robber believed to in his 18 at Adugyama in the Ahafo Ano South East District of the Ashanti Region.
The suspect whose identity is yet to be known gruesomely shot the deceased who was on his motorcycle in the outskirt of the community.
Some eyewitnesses say, the suspect after committing the dastardly act, took the deceased’s motorbike and fled, leaving him to his fate.
Luck, however eluded him (suspect) after fleeing with the deceased’s motorbike but was involved in an accident a few distance away from the crime scene.
He was rushed to the Mankranso Hospital for treatment by some persons who had not known what the suspect had committed for.
The incident, which happened on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 in the afternoon, is currently under investigation by the police at Mankranso, who are yet to identify the deceased.
It gathered by this portal that, Okada riders in the area reportedly went tonthe hospital with intent of retaliatimg the act of the suspect after hearing that he (suspect) was admitted there.
Swift intervention by the police saved the suspect from been lynched by the angry Okada riders.
The suspect is now in police custody after receiving treatment at the hospital and is assisting the police with investigations.
