45-year-old farmer burnt to death on his farm

Tragedy struck Betinko, a farming community near Nyinahin in the Atwima Mponua District of the Ashanti Region, when a 45- year-old farmer. Kwaku Badu, was trapped and burnt to death by a ravaging fire.

The incident happened on Monday, February 24 ,2025 when the deceased, decided to set fire to his farming plot, he was preparing for cultivation, but the fire got out of control and trapped him, according to Kumasi based Angel FM reporter, Akwasi Nkansah who was at the Betinko community.

According to him when the deceased wife realised that her husband had not returned from the farm, she informed some family members of the deceased and formally reported it to the police at Adiembra.

A team of police personnel were dispatched to the farm, together with some family members of Kwaku Badu and a search conducted found the charred body of the deceased on the farm.

The body has since been deposited at a morgue at Nyinahin, while the police has launched investigation into the saddened incident.
