Pooley’s Murder: Akosua Black Chinese finally arrested

The Ghana Police Service has arrested one of the key suspects in the murder of Yaw Francis Frimpong alias Nana Pooley that occurred during the match between Nsoatreman FC and Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC on Sunday, February 2, 2025.

Suspect Elizabeth Akosua Ntiriwsa, alias Akosua Black Chinese has been described by many football enthusiasts who were at the Nana Konamansah Park on Sunday as someone who played key role in the sudden demise of Nana Pooley.

Elizabeth Akosua Ntiriwaa is currently in Police custody, assisting with the investigation.

The arrest of Akosua Black Chinese brings to six (6) the number of suspects so far arrested in connection with the death of Nana Yaw Francis Frimpong at Nsoatre in the Bono Region.

The other suspects are the bankroller of Nsoatreman FC Ignatius Baffour Awuah, Agyemang Duah Owusu, Kyeremeh Joseph, Isaac Ofosu and Yeboah Augustine.

From the police statement a search conducted in the room of one of the suspects Agyemang Duah Owusu, led to the retrieval of two dresses with suspected bloodstains and an MP 23 pistol with 15 rounds of ammunition.

He has since been denied with a bail amd is in the police custody. He is to reappear in court, together with Ignatius Baffour Awuah and Kyeremeh Joseph on February, 17 2025.

Police, intelligence-led operation is still ongoing to get the rest of the perpetrators arrested to face justice.
