Pooley’s Murder: Two more suspects arrested

The Ghana Police Service has arrested two more individuals in connection with the violent disturbances that occurred during the football match between Nsoatreman FC and Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC where Asante Kotoko supporter was stabbed to death.
The suspects, Isaac Ofosu and Yeboah Augustine are currently in Police custody assisting in the ongoing investigation.
The arrest of the two brings to five (5) the number of suspects so far arrested in connection with the death of Nana Yaw Francis Frimpong alias Nana Pooley, which occurred on 2nd February 2025 at Nsoatre in the Bono Region.
The other three suspects are the bankroller of Nsoatreman FC Ignatius Baffour Awuah, Agyemang Duah Owusu and Kyeremeh Joseph.
A search conducted inthe room of suspect Agyemang Duah Owusu led to the retrieval of two dresses with suspected bloodstains and an MP 23 pistol with 15 rounds of ammunition.
According to the police, intelligence-led operation is still ongoing to get the rest of the perpetrators arrested to face justice.
