Pooley Murder: Former Employment and Labour Relations Minister, one other granted bail

Former Employment and Labour Relations minister under Akufo-Addo government, Ignatius Baffour Awuah, and one other suspect. Joseph Kyeremeh, I have been granted bail by a Sunyani High court in connection with Asante Kotoko’s fan, who was gruesomely stabbed by an unknown assailant at Nsoatre.
The other suspect, Agyemang Duah Owusu who was in possession with MP 23 pistol with 15 rounds of ammunition and a dress with suspected bloodstains during a search in his house has been remanded in Police custody.
They are to reappear on February 17, 2025.
Meanwhile, the presiding judge has ordered for the passports of Ignatius Baffour Awuah and Joseph Kyeremeh to be handed over to the court clerk.
The deceased was stabbed to death during a football match between Nsoatreman FC and Kumasi Asante FC in match day 19 of the Ghana Premier League at Nsoatre in the Bono Region on Sunday, February 2 2025.
The Inspector- General of Police, Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, together with the Interim Management Committee of Kotoko, have paid a visit to the family of the deceased to commiserate with them.
A special team has been deployed from the Criminal Investigation Department Headquarters to assist the Bono Regional Police Command in the investigation.
