Kotoko right back Emmanuel Kotei undergoes successful surgery

Kumasi Asante right back, Emmanuel Kotei has undergone a successful surgery on his knee injury after sustaining an anterior cruciate ligament a weak ago at the training ground.

The defender’s plan surgery took place in Kumasi on Wednesday and was conducted successfully by an expert surgeon.

Kotei will now focus on the beginning of his rehabilitation under strict and close supervision from the club’s medical department.

According to a report from the club’s medical team, Kotei has been ruled out for the rest of this season’s campaign.

However, Kotoko has already announced his replacement in the person of Daniel Adrian Adjetey, a former Nania FC, Naestved (Denmark) and Daugacpils (Latvia) versatile player.

The time frame has not been placed on the full back’s return to action.

Emmanuel Kotei was signed on the second transfer window of the 2023/2024 league season from fellow Premier league side Nsoatreman FC.

The 27-year-old signed a three year deal with the Porcupines. He has already had stint with former premiier league side Tamale City
