Group chides Mahama over exclusion of PWDs in his key appointments

The Concerned NDC Disability Desk, a splinter group within the party, has expressed worry over President Mahama neglect of not including Persons With Disabilities (PWDs) in his government.
They have therefore appealed to the first gentleman of the land to fulfil his campaign promise of including the PWDs in key positions of his administration.
President Mahama, in his election campaigns, pledged to champion inclusivity especially women and PWDs in his administration.
In an interview with the media, the group said Mahama has failed to name a single member of the PWDs in the 42 out of the 60 appointments announced so far. They appealed to the President as matter of urgency address their grievances in his next appointments.
“President Mahama said, he is going to make 60 appointments. Out of it he has made 42 appointments which is more than 50 percent. Some of them have already been sworn in to form cabinet already, we therefore urge him to fulfil his campaign promise of including some PWDs in his administration,” the group asserted.
