Two Suspected Arrmed Robbers Lynched After Attacking Gold Miners, Two On The Run

TWO Suspected armed robbers have been lynched for allegedly robbing some gold miners at Manso Watreso in the Amansie South District of the Ashanti Region.
Two other suspects were able to escape from the irate members of the community with 30 pounds of gold, and more than GH¢11,000 in cash.
According to the Assembly Member for the Manso Watreso Electoral Area, Kofi Mensah, the suspects pounced on the victims and confiscated their pickup truck keys before running away with the booty, on Tuesday, January 14, 2025.
However, he said luck eluded the two lynched suspected robbers who were handed instant justice by the irate youth who responded to the distress call from thr victims.
“Two of the robbers were apprehended and lynched by the angry residents after an alarm was raised, while the other two managed to escape with the stolen items,” Mr. Mensah stated.
The bodies of the deceased have since been deposited at a morgue waiting for an autopsy, while the police are on manhunt to apprehend the two other accomplices.
