Man Gruesomely Gunned Down At His House

A Man has gruesomely been shot to death in front of his house at Akrafo Kokobeng in the Atwima Nwabiagya North of the Ashanti Region by an unknown assailant.

Nana Okofrobuo Boateng, alias Abudu and in his 40s, was shot multiple times in his neck and head on Wednesday, January 15, 2025.

An eyewitness account says, the deceased had gone out to buy food but was shot to death while entering his gate around 11:00pm that day.

“As soon as the deceased opened his house gate, the assailant who was believed to be hidden in some flowers in front of the house, shot him multiple times,” a neighbour who spoke on condition of anonymity said.

Meanwhile, some family members of the deceased suspect believed he might have been killed out of hatred.

The death of Abudu who was believed to be a former chief, has brought shivers into the spines of many members of the community as it has raised security concerns in the area.

The police at the Bohyen District Command have conducted preliminary investigations at the crime scene, while the deceased’s body has been deposited at a morgue for preservation.
